Surfalite makes a great countertop either with its 7 mm (¼”) profile or a drop-down miter edge can be added. It is also a superb option for wet wall applications such as shower walls and bath surrounds where a large format slab is desired. Other potential areas include backsplashes, stairs, flooring, reception desks and furniture, cabinet doors, and tabletops.
Yes, Surfalite can be used for exterior applications, but please note that the resin used in production is not UV stable and can exhibit some yellowing over time with exposure to UV rays.
Surfalite is made of very hard minerals making it a very durable surface. Surfalite is heat, scratch, and stain resistant, not proof. Hot pads or trivets should be used, spills should be cleaned within a reasonable time and cutting boards are recommended.
Surfalite is neither. Surfalite is a mineral based surface using the latest technologies and resources to provide an exceptional and beautiful surface while at the same time being conscious of health, safety and sustainability.
Due to the movement and look of Surfalite, there is no main veining pattern to book match.
Surfalite slabs are large format 330 x 165 cm (130” x 65”).
Surfalite is sold in both slab and tile format.
Each Surfalite slab, although similar in look and coloration, is unique and one of a kind.
At this time we have not made Surfalite with a raw material making it capable of being backlit.

Yes, you can cantilever Surfalite but being only ¼” (7mm) you will need some sort of substrate as support. The amount of cantilever will depend on the type and thickness of the substrate.
There is no specific blade needed for the Festool. Any 150 mm (6”) diamond blade with the correct bore will work.
Yes. Any brand circular saw with track system will work.
Surfalite can be finished with standard polishing pads suitable for stone either wet or dry. Edges can be flat polished, or miter joined to create a front edge profile.
Cut at pieces 43 degrees to leave room for glue. Using two-part polyester adhesive, join pieces and use a 90-degree square to ensure pieces set at 90 degrees. Join can then be polished using polishing pads suitable for stone either wet or dry.
Depending on application and code requirements, construction adhesive can be used for most applications, but polymer modified thin set for large format tile can also be used when installing over cement board or Hardibacker.
